Sensitivity of Corrosion Behavior for Fe-Based Amorphous Coating to Temperature and Chloride Concentration

چکیده

The effects of solution concentration and temperature on the electrochemical behavior Fe-based amorphous (AMCs) coatings in NaCl were studied by using conventional measurement XPS analysis. Results indicated that as increased, current density for AMCs increased pitting potential decreased. This reduced corrosion resistance was derived from decreased passivation index polarization resistance, which contributed to decrease induction time (tm) initiation pit. passive films formed exhibit two types’ semiconductors higher lower flat band potential. protectiveness film mainly correlated with reduction Cr2O3 content, increase carrier work function (WF).

Effect of Wet and Dry Conditions on Wear Behavior of Amorphous Coating of Fe-Cr-Mo-Nb-C-B

Recently, wear resistant properties of metallic glasses has attracted a lot of interest. Because the surface of metallic glasses are prone to phase transformation, finding the effects of test condition on structure and wear behavior of metallic glasses is important. In this research, by using an automated electrospark deposition (ESD), a layer of Fe51Cr18Mo7B16C4Nb4 was deposited on AISI 316l s...

The effect of TiO2 concentration on microstructure, corrosion behavior and wear behavior of Ni-P-W-TiO2 coating

Nickel-phosphorus coatings (Ni-P) are widely used in industry due to their high hardness, corrosion resistance and very good mechanical and chemical properties. Oxide particles such as TiO2 can be used to increase the wear resistance of these coatings. In this study, the Ni-P-W-TiO2 composite coating was deposited on the AISI 304L steel substrate using the electroplating method. Electroplating ...

Corrosion Behavior of Copper in Chloride Media

The electrochemical behavior of copper in 0.05 M HCl and 0.05 M NaCl carried out at open-circuit potential and at constant anodic potential after one hour has been investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) at 20 °C, 40 °C and 60 °C. The formation of copper chloride (CuCl) film does not protect copper from dissolution in the chloride media. The physical properties of the pa...
